Join Meteorologist Collin Myers on KEYE-TV News, Weekends at 5:30, 6, and 10:00PM.
Collin has had a passion for severe weather for a majority of his life-from watching thunderstorms at an early age-growing up in Kansas City, to chasing large Tornado outbreaks, while still in college. He even recalls instances in college, while in the company of friends, where they decided to chase large thunderstorms across 4 states in the Southeast, and return the following day for exams.
Collin is an active Member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Before even receiving his diploma from the University of Oklahoma in 2014, he began his first on-air job as a weekday meteorologist in the heart of Tornado Alley. After a year of wild, violent weather in the central plains, Collin has experienced first-hand the importance of relaying immediate warnings to the public-through live broadcast and also emerging social media. When possible, he still likes to track supercells and chase large thunderstorms. In April, May and June of 2015, prior to arriving at KEYE, He chased several large tornadoes in the plains of Kansas, while also working as a Morning TV Meteorologist, in a crazy weather market-in the High plains.
When Collin isn't on the air, or in the crowd at a stadium or arena, he is most likely watching college or professional sports-or chasing after active weather-his passion. He also spends free time at the gym, lifting weights, or playing golf. He follows the PGA, and watches the Masters Tournament religiously.
Collin loves interacting with viewers on social media! He follows Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram the most!
