KEYE TV Launches No Text Zone Effort
Did you know 1.6-million texting-related crashes occur each year? That's according to the National Safety Council. It's easy to see how that could happen. At 55 miles an hour you can drive 100 yards in the few seconds your eyes are away from the road while texting. That's why KEYE TV created the "No Text Zone" campaign. We're spreading the word of the dangers of texting while driving, and we're asking you to take the "No Text Zone" pledge.
Just go to keyetv.com and sign up pledging not to text while driving. We'll also point the way to participating sponsors where you'll be able to pick up a sticker reminding drivers around you of the dangers of texting while driving. Every week we'll draw from the pledges and someone will win a $200 Visa gift card.
