Thanksgiving Road Closures: Turkey Trot and UT Home Game


Roads will be closed in parts of downtown and near the UT Campus on Thanksgiving because of two Austin Thanksgiving traditions.

The 22nd Annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is Thursday. Roads will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The five mile run begins at South 1st Street and Riverside Drive

Kickoff for the University of Texas football game against TCU is at 6:30 p.m. Expect the area around campus to be busy with tailgaters leading up to the game. The only road closures are for the BEVO Blvd and ESPN block parties on 18th Street between Brazos and San Jacinto and on 17th St between San Jacinto and Trinity.
