North Austin YMCA To Open Doors Saturday


The North Austin YMCA is set to open their doors to non-members and the community this Saturday, December 1.

The 36,000 square foot facility is located at 1000 West Rundberg Lane. It has a state-of-the-art health and wellness center, open-access community spaces, child watch center, gymnasium, indoor pools and a site for a future community garden.

YMCA has partnered with the City of Austin to allow non-members to use areas like the teen room, community area and computer lab at no cost.

The facility was built with a 2006 City of Austin bond initiative.
