Texans Test Their Luck With Record Powerball Jackpot


Soaring sales have shot the Powerball Jackpot up to a record $500 million, with a cash value of $327 million.
Since last week sales in Texas have increased 710 percent.

This is the largest Powerball jackpot in history and the second largest jackpot in the history for any lottery game.

The odds of winning the full amount are one in 175,223,510, but the overall odds of winning any prize are one in 32.

Powerball players win the jackpot by correctly matching five numbers from a field of 59, plus the Powerball number from a field of 35.

According to Forbes, winning the $500 million Powerball drawing would mean that you made more money this year than these celebrities made last year (in millions):
