Judge Grants Delay In Norwood Murder Trial
A judge has granted a delay in the trial of a man accused of killing a Williamson County woman in 1986.
Mark Norwood is charged with the 1986 murder of Christine Morton. Norwood's DNA was found on a bandana about 100 yards from the murder scene.
Christine Morton's husband Michael was originally convicted of her murder. He spent two decades in prison before the DNA evidence cleared him
A change of venue has already been granted for the trial. The new venue will be tried in Tom Green County. San Angelo is the county seat of Tom Green County.
The trial is expected to begin in late spring or early summer of next year.
