San Marcos Car Crash Leaves 1 Dead
San Marcos police say a 19-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Christmas day.
It happened at around 10:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Post Road.
Investigators say David A. Whitlock was driving northbound when his 2003 Chevy Cavalier left the roadway and struck a utility pole. He was alone in the car.
Whitlock was airlifted to University Medical Center at Brackenridge where he later died.
Police say the investigation into the crash continues. This was San Marcos' 13th traffic fatality for 2012.
