The Hays County Sheriff's Office says an arrest has been made in connection to a Dripping Springs house fire where a body was found in the rubble.

Joseph Alan Carnahan, 55, is charged with arson, two counts of criminal negligence and endangerment of a child.

The body was found by firefighters Sunday, Dec. 16 as they were extinguishing a house fire at 31305 RM 12, between Fitzhugh Road and Hamilton Pool Road.

The body has not yet been identified by authorities. Hays County investigators say they will release more information on Wednesday.

Deputies say Carnahan was arrested last Friday.
