Deadline Approaching For Christmas Delivery
Time is running out to get your packages to their destinations. The last day to ship packages for a Christmas delivery is Saturday Dec. 22, and for some companies the deadline has already passed.
At the FedEx store in North Austin, the packages are piling up, as customers pay premium prices.
"It was expensive, but I'm not going to tell you how much it costs," said one customer.
For most shipping companies Saturday is the deadline for overnight delivery, the last possible chance to make sure the gifts get where they're headed in time for Christmas.
However, if you request to have someone sign for delivery, make sure someone's home.
Shipping companies say a signature delivery means just that, no signature, no delivery.
And if last minute is your prerogative, you better check the weather; bad weather in parts of the country could stall holiday hopes.
