San Marcos Fugitive Arrested In San Antonio
A San Marcos man that went on the run before being found guilty last week of aggravated sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl has been found and arrested in San Antonio.
Officials with the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force say Pedro Javier Quintero, 22, fled last week during his criminal trial in the Caldwell County District Court in Lockhart.
He was found guilty and sentenced to a 48-year prison term. Quintero was charged along with three others in the 2009 assault that took place in Reedville, just east of San Marcos.
Law Enforcement officials say Quintero was arrested Thursday morning at a home in the 400 block of Heimer Road in northern San Antonio without incident after officers were able to determine during their investigation he was staying in the area.
Further charges may be pending.
