Murder Trial Begins For Austin Father Upset With Daughter's Lesbian Relationship
An Austin man, who prosecutors say was upset his daughter was dating a woman, is on trial for murder.
Jose Alfonso Aviles is accused of killing Norma and Maria Hurtado in April 2011.
Police say Aviles went to a home in the Onion Creek Plantation neighborhood, knocked on the door and shot Norma and her mother, Maria when they answered the door.
Investigators say he was angry his daughter had a relationship with Norma.
Aviles fled the scene and was later apprehended by federal agents in San Antonio.
