Missing Cedar Park Child Found


UPDATE: 11:25 a.m.

The child missing from Cedar Park has been found.

Cedar Park police says he was safely located in Austin with his non‐custodial parent, Ashley McClendon.

McClendon is currently in police custody and is charged with burglary with the intent to commit kidnapping, a First Degree Felony. The case remains under investigation and additional criminal charges may be pending.



A Cedar Park toddler is missing.

Police say at 4:50 a.m. Friday they received a call from a home in the area of FM 1431 and Prize Oaks Drive. Officers were told a 2 ½ year old boy had disappeared.

Drake McClendon is black male, 3 foot tall, 35 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing orange and brown striped footed pajamas.

Police say Drake may be with his non‐custodial parent, Ashley McClendon.  She is white, 28 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.  She may have dyed her hair purple.

Police want anyone with information about the case to call Sgt. Bryan Wukasch with the Cedar Park Police Department at 512‐260‐4748.
