Cliff On Fire Near Lake Austin Homes
A cliff caught fire Tuesday night near a group of homes on Lake Austin right next to Mansfield Dam.
It happened at around 8:30 p.m. at Low Water Crossing Road.
Fire officials say the flames are about 50 feet across along the cliff.
Fire crews from Lake Travis Fire Rescue are attacking the fire from the cliff above and the road below.
The fire is about 80% contained.
Fire engines are protecting homes on the cliff above the fire.
