Tips On How To Keep Your Presents Safe
During the holidays it can be easy to forget thieves may be out for all the presents you unwrapped under the tree.
The Austin Police Department, through their Twitter page, is offering tips on how to avoid a Grinch.
Police say to keep your valuables away from doors and windows. Make sure to close and lock all windows and doors before you head out, and close window shades and blinds when no one is home or before you go to sleep.
Police also recommend breaking down boxes and putting them in a recycling or trash bin that closes.
Also, record serial numbers of valuables and keep a printed copy of the list to help in case of a burglary.
