Pilot, Passenger Survive Christmas Eve Plane Crash
(AP) -- A small, two-seater Swift II experimental aircraft crashed in a residential neighborhood of San Antonio on Christmas Eve, and both the pilot and passenger walked away unharmed.
The San Antonio Express-Newsreports people on the ground, including three young boys who were playing in their backyard when the plane came crashing through the trees, were also not hurt.
San Antonio Fire Department Capt. Bryan Norris says the plane had mechanical problems after taking off from Twin-Oaks Airport. He says the pilot had tried to circle back to land.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
