Bank Robbed In Far South Austin

A bank was robbed in far South Austin Wednesday evening.

It happened at around 6:30 p.m. at the Woodforest National Bank located inside the Wal-Mart at 9300 S I-35, right next to the Slaughter Lane intersection.

Police say a man entered the bank, passed a note to a teller demanding money and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white/light skinned Hispanic male, mid 20s, with a thin beard and blue green eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, and a white and blue striped zipper jacket.
