Driver Dead After Police Chase Between Elgin, Bastrop
A suspect died at the end of a high-speed chase in Bastrop County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Travis County constables were serving a warrant at a Travis County home. Authorities have not released the location.
A person from the home sped away in a vehicle. Constables chased it into Burnet County.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., the vehicle crashed into a tree on Hwy 95 and Big Sandy Road, between Elgin and Bastrop. The driver died.
