Austin Teen Charged With Sex Assault Of A Child
An 18-year-old Austin man is accused of forcing a 13-year-old to have sex with him.
Alejandro Cruz Velasquez is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
A 13-year-old girl told police she met Velasquez on Facebook. They exchanged phone numbers then began texting. Some of the texts were of naked pictures of themselves, according to an arrest affidavit.
The victim said on Jan. 7, Velasquez came to her church in Pflugerville. They kissed and he tried to put his hand up her dress, the affidavit said.
The next day, the victim said she met Velasquez and got in his car. She told police he pressured her and they had sex.
According to the affidavit, the victim tried to break up with Velasquez but her threatened to publish the naked pictures of her. She went to School Resource Officer at her middle school who called police.
