2 Injured In Smoking-Related Oil Tank Explosion
Two people smoking on the top of a North Texas oil storage tank were hurt when it exploded Tuesday morning.
The explosion happened just before 3 a.m. in near Van, about 70 miles east of Dallas.
The two victims, a 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, are in the hospital with serious burns. According to KTVT-TV, officials do not believe they work for the company that owns the oil storage facility.
Crews are trying to put out the flames in two tanks to keep them from spreading to three others.
