Police Investigate Death Of 13-Year-Old Girl in South Austin
Austin Police are investigating the death of a teen girl after arriving home unresponsive from a night out.
According to APD dispatchers, homicide detectives are conducting a suspicious death investigation in South Austin New Year’s Day.
Police say the 13-year-old female victim was reportedly dropped off at a friend's home, in the 2400 block of Lakehurst Drive, at around 11 a.m. A female juvenile friend of the victim says the girl was dropped off by a Hispanic male who was possibly driving a black car.
CPR was conducted on the girl after arriving at the home unresponsive. Officials say she was transported to Dell Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
