Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car On MoPac
The southbound lanes of Mopac in Central Austin were shut down Wednesday night after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car.
It happened at around 8:10 p.m. in the 4400 block, next to the 45th Street intersection.
Police say a man, identified only as around 40 years old, was declared dead at the scene.
Southbound MoPac is expected to be closed for several hours at the scene as police investigate.
