Feds Raid Scooter Store Headquarters In New Braunfels
FBI agents have raided the Scooter Store corporate headquarters in New Braunfels.
WOAI-TV in San Antonio reports the Office of the Inspector General, the Department of Public Safety, Texas Medicare Fraud officers and FBI are all on site and are executing a search warrant.
Sources say the investigation is looking into possible medicare fraud.
Employees at the scene said they were asked to leave. One stated the FBI emptied Building 2, which is where the IT and billing servers are located.
The Scooter Store recently announced it was cutting approximately 150 positions, approximately 100 of those at their New Braunfels location.
