Ex-Navy Seal Chris Kyle Buried At Texas State Cemetery


The body of former Navy Seal Chris Kyle is being buried in a private ceremony at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin.

About 200 motorcycles, motor coaches, police cruisers and other vehicles made the trip from Midlothian. That's the small town 25 miles southwest of Dallas where the 38-year-old Kyle lived with his family.

As it passes, thousands of people lined the route with American flags to pay tribute to the man known as the "American Sniper."

Kyle retired as the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history. He completed four tours of duty in Iraq and wrote the best-selling book "American Sniper."

Kyle and a friend were shot and killed Feb. 2 at a North Texas shooting range. The suspect is Eddie Ray Routh, a veteran reportedly suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, something Kyle was trying to help him with.
