Camp Mabry Texas National Guard Soldiers Deploy To Kuwait
Close to 260 soldiers from Austin's Camp Mabry said goodbye to loved ones this morning as they get ready to leave for Kuwait.
Members of the 449th Aviation Support Battalion will be providing aviation maintenance and ground support to the Texas Army National Guard's 36th Combat Aviation Brigade. It has already begun a deployment to Kuwait.
A deployment ceremony took place at the Austin Army Aviation Support Facility near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The majority of the soldiers are from Central Texas.
