Central Austin Greyhound Bus Crash Closes Part Of I-35
A traffic crash involving a Greyhound bus shutdown part of I-35 in Central Austin Friday evening.
It happened at around 6 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35 near 51st Street.
According to Austin/Travis County EMS, there were 20 occupants inside the bus, 10 of those are Special Olympics participants.
Five people were transported to a hospital by EMS. Their injuries are not considered serious.
A sedan was also involved in the crash, according to APD.
