Northeast Austin Police Chase Leaves 5 Injured
Five people are injured, one seriously, after a police chase ended in a crash in Northeast Austin Thursday afternoon.
Police say it started at around 2:05 p.m. as a burglary call in the 9900 block of Childress, just north of Rundberg Lane and west of Dessau Road.
The suspects fled in a truck when police arrive. Officers pursed and the suspects crashed into another vehicle about a mile away at the intersection of Rutherford Lane and Cameron Road.
All four suspects in the truck were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge – one reportedly has serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was also transported to UMCB. Their condition is unknown.
