6 Immigrants Killed After Police Chase in Kingsville
Six suspected illegal immigrants were killed and nine were injured when a truck being pursued by Kingsville police crashed into a security barrier at Naval Air Station Kingsville.
Wednesday around 11:15 p.m., local deputies tried to pull over a vehicle that was carrying 15 illegal immigrants inside.
In an attempt to out run authorities, the car drove through the first checkpoint at the base. The person in charge at the gate notified the people at main gate, about a half mile away, to put up the barrier. The vehicle did not stop and drove head on into the barrier killing six people inside.
