Documentary Lays Bare Michael Morton's Wrongful Conviction

The documentary, "An Unreal Dream: The Michael Morton Story" offers an unflinching look at a Texas man wrongfully convicted of killing his wife.

The film by writer/director and two-time Oscar nominee Al Reinert lays bare how Michael Morton lost everything -- except the fact that he was innocent.

Morton's son disowned him as he served a life sentence. Morton was finally exonerated by new DNA evidence in 2011, after 25 years in prison.

The movie is screening for a third and final time Saturday at the South By Southwest film festival in Austin.

Another man, Mark Norwood, goes on trial Monday for the 1986 slaying of Morton's wife. Norwood has also been linked to a similar 1988 slaying of another woman.
