Camp Site Evacuated After Georgetown Brush Fire
The Georgetown Fire Department is on the scene of a brush fire at Russell Park in Georgetown.
Georgetown Fire Department says they responded to a brush fire at Russell Park in West Georgetown Saturday afternoon.
Keith Hutchison, Georgetown Public Information Officer, says they responded to a 6 acre fire in a wooded area in the park. Firefighters evacuated a camping area close to the fire as a precaution.
Two Starflight helicopters were providing air drops on the fire.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
