Investigators Say They've Solved WilCo Cold Case

Investigators say they've solved a Williamson County cold case more than 20 years old.

Police arrested Rex Nisbett in Houston Thursday morning for the murder of his estranged wife Vicki Nisbett.

Vicki was last seen at her home in the Anderson Mill area on December 14, 1991. Her husband reported her missing two days later.

Williamson county investigators reopened the case in February. "A few weeks after I took this office, I was contacted by a friend of Vicki's asking that I review this case. After reviewing the case, I decided to move forward," Williamson County District Attorney Jana Duty said.

Rex Nisbett is in the Williamson County Jail on $250,000 bail.

Officials say the investigation continues and anyone with information about this case or Rex and Vicki Nisbett are encouraged to call Williamson County Sheriff's Office Detective Robert Kee or Williamson County District Attorney Sergeant Investigator Royger Harris.

A reward for information leading to the conviction of Rex Nisbett is also being offered by Crime Stoppers.
