Man Struck, Killed By Train In San Marcos Identified
Police have identified the man struck and killed by a train Tuesday afternoon in San Marcos.
The collision happened at around 1:40 p.m. in the area of the 600 block of E. Hopkins Street.
Witnesses at the scene told police the man, identified as 20-year-old Tyler Rhein Schobert, stepped in front of the train and was struck. He was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge by San Marcos/Hays County EMS where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
