Texas Gov. Perry Gives Advice On Courting Hispanic Voters

The annual Conservative Political Action Conference kicked off Thursday near the nation's capital, and Texas Gov. Rick Perry was among the featured speakers for the opening day.

He addressed the idea that the Republican Party needs to appeal to the growing Hispanic demographic -- by telling the crowd what appeals to Hispanics in states like Texas

"It is the free enterprise agenda that allows small businesses to prosper, free of government interference. It's the policies that value the family unit as the best and closest form of government," Perry said.

CPAC is the largest and oldest annual gathering of conservatives. The three day event is where many gauge who's readying a campaign for the next presidential race.
