AISD Pushes Forward On Eastside Memorial Plan


On Monday night, Austin school board members plan to pick up on a conversation they've been having for months: what to do with troubled Eastside Memorial High School and the schools that feed into it.
 
The district says the state has three options: re-purpose the school, let someone else run it, or close it altogether. On Monday night, they'll look at making changes to the timeline for implementation they approved in February, mainly pushing back making several key decisions, like approving a partner. They're seeking requests for proposals.

Another one of the board's concerns in the whole process: how much the final plan will cost and where the money will come from.
 
The board meeting starts at 7 p.m. with discussion on Eastside Memorial set for 10 p.m.
