Two Treated After Overnight Auto-Pedestrian Crash
One person is in custody and two people are recovering this morning after a chain reaction accident overnight. It happened at Congress Avenue and Barton Springs. Police tell KEYE a Fiat sedan was hit from behind by a BMW sedan with a Texas State Official license plate. That collision caused the Fiat sedan to hit a cyclist directly in front.
Police say the cyclist and driver of the BMW were transported to Brackenridge hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and a passenger in the BMW was taken to a South Austin hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A police lieutenant later told us the BMW driver was arrested on suspicion of DWI, but would not identify the driver.
