Man Pleads For Info On Hit And Run That Left Wife Dead


An Austin widower is trying to raise awareness by setting up a cross in his wife's memory.

Jack O'Bryan lost his wife Linda during a hit-and-run accident on Steck Avenue in 2008.

The driver responsible for Linda's death has yet to be found.

"I know somebody out there knows something and why keep the information to yourself?" O'Bryan told KEY TV Friday.

He says he hopes the white cross will stir some remorse in the driver that hit his wife and remind others to slow down.

The vehicle involved in the hit and run is described as a blue Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck. If you have any information about this incident you are asked to call the Austin Police Department Vehicular Homicide unit at 512-974-8543.
